Merlin, an exciting fantasy series, takes viewers inside the world of Camelot but in a 21st century manner. Before Merlin (Colin Morgan) and Arthur (Bradley James) were legends, they were young men hungry for adventure. In search of love and their own true destinies, the duo make their share of mistakes along the way.

Episode 1*: The Dragon's Call

Merlin is told by the Great Dragon that is is his destiny to make sure that the young Price Arthur is kept safe. Anybody caught performing magic though is punished with the death penalty and Merlin is not a fan of Arthur. When Arthur's life is endangered Merlin finds himself tested.

Episode 2*: Valiant

Camelot holds it's yearly sword tournament. Knight Armed usies a magical shield and is determined to win at any cost. Merlin is determined to prove that Valiant is cheating before Arthur is killed in a dual with him.

Episode 3:* The Mark of Nimueh

When a plague spreads through the Kingdom of Camelot it seems that evil magic is the cause. Merlin and Gaius try and find a cure before it is too late. Gwen is accused of practicing witchcraft and is sentenced to death. Merlin, Arthur and Morgana attempt to discover the real culprit and save Gwen before it is too late.

Episode 4: The Poisoned Chalice

Nimueh returns and she tricks Merlin into consuming some poison from a chalice and he becomes very ill. Arthur attempts to find an antidote but ends up walking into a trap set by Nimueh.

Episode 5: Lancelot

Lancelot shows up and saves Merlin from being killed by a monster. Merlin tries to get Lancelot made a Knight of Camelot for his bravery.

Episode 6: A Remedy To Cure All Ills

Lady Morgana is over come by a strange illness and Gaius is unable to find a cure. Edwin Muirden is able to find a cure though and he manges to win over everyone at Camelot except Gaius.

Episode 8: The Beginning of the End
Arthur finds himself becoming friends with Morgana when he helps a boy stay hidden. The two of them try to get the boy back to from where he came but things turn bad when Uther announces that anyone helping the boy will be executed.

Episode 9: Excalibur
Nimeuh is back to her evil work, to gain revenge against Uther; she congers up a dead knight to kill him, he offers his gauntlet for someone to come and fight him to the death, as knight after knight fight and die at the Black Knight's hand Arthur becomes angry, and we discover the truth of Nimueh and about Arthur's birth. Meanwhile Merlin discovers the knight is a dead man and no mortal weapon can kill it, can Merlin discover a way to kill the Black Knight?
