Hotel Babylon - Series Four

Hotel Babylon is a fictionalized look into the world of 5-star hotels. Only the richest and the most famous stay at this exclusive hotel. Max Beesley stars as Charlie, announced as the new manager at the end of the second series, along with many other dedicated staff that try to accommodate the high demands of the guests of Hotel Babylon. The Charlie character acts as narrator at the beginning and end of each episode, commenting on a loose theme running throughout the hour. Common themes of the first two series include the eccentric nature of the world's rich and famous, the difference between appearances and behind-the-scenes reality, and the ability of those working in the hotel to either keep guests in line or retaliate against those acting out. British immigration issues are occasionally explored, especially through the house cleaning staff. The show, while having dramatic arcs in each episode, also has largely comedic tones.

Episode 1
The hotel faces closure. Tony tries to convince an Asian businessman to buy the hotel but not everything goes to plan. A crowd end up in the hotel following a bomb alert in London. A millionaire caught up in the chaos is impressed by the staff's actions and decides to buy the hotel.

Episode 2
A couple who are both celebrities hold their joint 40th birthday party at the hotel. Anna finds out that they are not as happy as they seem together. Sam ignores Juliet's advise and better judgment when he lets lets two rival boxers stay at the hotel.

Episode 3
The staff take part in a treasure hunt around the hotel searching for valuable emeralds claimed to be hidden there. Gino finds himself being conned by a man staying at the hotel. Tony discovers that a former film star staying at the hotel isn't quite as she seems.

Episode 4
When Emily's estranged father turns up at Babylon, she wants him to leave, but he has something he needs to tell her first. Meanwhile, Sam gambles Hotel Babylon and loses, and Tony meets his doppelganger and they put their uncanny resemblance to good use.

Episode 7
James and Gino are are asked to organise the extravagant funeral of a VIP guest . If the event is a success Juliet tells James that he will gain a promotion at the hotel. An old boyfriend of Juliet's checks into the hotel and wants to give their relationship another go. Sam becomes jealous and ends up having a one night stand with one of the hotel's guests.
