Because it's cute. I would have got Jasmine's ears pierced, but I waited, too late. It's best to get them done when they are first born or just a few months old. My daughter was about 5 or 6 months old when I thought about getting her ears pierced, but I hadn't considered the fact she was in the touching and pulling stage, so I quickly decided against that idea. She will have her ears pierced when she gets older though, maybe 2 years old. :)
She just got her ear pierced this year. I didnt peirce them before because I didnt want to pierce her ears, because i thought it was cute, or fashionable, its her body so i decided to let it be her choice, i probably would have oked it at 16, i know im in the minorty with this subject, but i view ear piercing almost the same as tatoos, hair color, and any other piercing, maybe thats why she was almost grown getting it done.

Woah G. That's deep, but I have family members like that. That's all I'm going to say about that :)
P.S.
Tell your daughter I said, "Congrats!!" Now it's time for college! WOOT WOOT!! :)
I'm not trying to attack you, Mia, but I HAVE to say this...
Going along with your logic about this subject, shouldn't getting a perm, be your daughters decision, too? In my opinion, a perm is a whole lot harsher on ones body, than a piercing. A chemical being placed on ones scalp, over and over again, has got to cause some kind of lasting damage.
The family members I mentioned in my previous post, have your same logic, and they also get perms, too. I just don't get it!
i just feel it should not be imposed on a baby or little kid in general.knowing how much it hurts when an adult get theres done and risk infection. i can just imagine how a baby must feel.and they cant tell you it hurts.it makes my heart hurt when i see little babys with there ears done.
It only stings for a second, their gas pains are worse I bet! So my opinion is each to their own. Don't have any kids yet so thats what I'm going with right now.

At the sametime Im not saying how I feel is right and how you feel is wrong, just diffence of opinions.
My daughter wanted a perm before i gave her one, it was hell on her, hair thick, tangly, she would cry the whole time. After the perm, ez going. Perms thin ur hair out changes the texture, no proven evidence it does anything to the scalp, and if it too harsh we need to try a different strength. I respect ur opinion and how you feel.

i dont think having one hole in ear is bad but anything more then that should be child decision as they get older to have that done..:v_SPIN:
