I Am A Strong Black Woman

I will not bow. I will not bend.
For, I am a strong Black Woman.
You cannot stop me.
Your abuse will not rock me,
whether mental or physical
I have my own agenda -- my own calling
I can fulfill so many roles:
Wife, Mother, Lover,
Professional and friend
I approach obstacles, hurt and challenges
throughout my life
as stepping stones to something greater.
I am also a conqueror
I refuse to fight another sister over you,
or any man
For, I feel her pain, her desires and her needs.
We are one.
We are all strong black women
But the road to this discovery is longer
for some of us
However, it is still a truth to be realized by all.
Yes, we are all strong black women
But some of us do not know it...yet.
